Cookie Policy

Web pages have no memory function. When navigating from one page to another on a website, you will not be recognized as the same user on each of the pages. A cookie is a small text file in which some information regarding your browsing is stored. Cookies allow1 the Website to recognize you as a unique user. They are sent from the Website to your terminal (computer, tablet, smartphone, notebook, etc.) to be stored and then retransmitted on the next visit.

Cookies2 ensure more efficient operation of the Website, improving navigation, for example3 by:

  • remembering the settings you have entered, so you do not have to change them each time you access a new page;

  • storing the information you have entered (e.g., username, language, browser type, etc.).

For more information on cookies and privacy, you can consult the documentation on the website of the Italian Data Protection Authority4 (Garante della privacy) at the following link: http://www.garanteprivacy.it/.

Accessing the Site and browsing it implies your consent to receive cookies.

Duration and Types of Cookies

Some cookies are automatically deleted at the end of the browsing session, while others remain stored on the terminals, usually hosted in the browser used5 (e.g., Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.). Cookies are therefore of two types based on their duration:

  • Temporary Cookies:

    Temporary cookies (or session cookies) are removed from your computer when you close your browser. They are used to6 store temporary information, such as the items in your shopping cart. Almost7 all cookies of the websites you view are session cookies whose activity ends when you close your internet browser.

  • Persistent Cookies:

    Persistent cookies are cookies8 stored on your computer or other device during a browsing session, but which remain on your computer or other device after the end of that browsing session. Persistent cookies serve various functions in the interest of users (they are used to store information, such as your login name and password, so that you do not have to re-enter them each time you visit9 the same site). They can remain stored on your device for a variable, but determined, period of time, depending on the function they perform.

These two types of cookies (session and persistent) can in turn be "first-party" and "third-party." When we talk about first-party cookies, we mean cookies transmitted by the owner of the websites. When we talk about third-party cookies, we mean cookies transmitted by third parties, therefore set by a website other than the one you are currently visiting. The latter fall under the direct10 and exclusive responsibility of the third-party operator.

You can delete all cookies from your browser at any time. However, permanently disabling all cookies11 may lead to browsing difficulties or, sometimes, the inability to use certain features of the Site. For example, you could no longer: use e-commerce stores to make your purchases, enter the Customer Area and manage the products you have purchased, use web-based software, etc.

  • Analytical Cookies: We use analytical cookies to better understand how our users use the Website, to optimize and improve15 the Site, and to ensure that it is always effective and efficient for users. Disabling and Deleting Cookies (Opt-out)

Most internet browsers are initially set to accept cookies automatically. This means that you have the option, at any time, to set your browser to accept all cookies,17 only some, or to reject them, disabling their use by websites. In addition, you can normally set18 your browser preferences so that you are notified each time a cookie is stored on your computer.19

Finally, at the end of each browsing session, you can delete the collected cookies from20 your device's hard drive. If you want to delete the cookies installed in21 the cookie folder of the browser you are using, it should be remembered that each browser has different procedures for managing settings.

By selecting the links below, you can22 obtain specific instructions for some of the main browsers.
